A two-day HP State U-11 Chess Workshop 2026 commenced today at 10:00 AM at Global Academy Public School, Paonta Sahib under the aegis of the District Sirmaur Chess Association.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Rajender Singh Negi Ji, who encouraged the young participants and appreciated the initiative taken to promote chess among children. He emphasized the role of chess in enhancing concentration, logical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
A large number of students participated enthusiastically in the workshop. The sessions focused on teaching the fundamentals of chess, including opening strategies, middle-game planning, and endgame techniques. Expert trainers conducted interactive sessions along with live demonstrations and practical exercises.
The school premises witnessed an energetic and disciplined environment, with students actively engaged in learning and practicing chess. The workshop aims to strengthen students’ strategic thinking skills and boost their confidence.
The organizers stated that such initiatives are essential for the holistic development of children and will continue to be organized in the future.
The workshop will continue for two days and conclude with certificate distribution to all participants.
