Global Academy Public School proudly participated in the HP State Chess Championship 2026 organized by the Distt. Sirmaur Chess Association at The Scholars Home, Paonta Sahib.
A total of 38 students from the Under-7 category represented the school in this prestigious chess championship. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young chess players across the state and provided students with an excellent opportunity to showcase their talent, confidence, and strategic thinking skills.
The championship was organized under the guidance and support of the Himachal Pradesh State Chess Association and the Distt. Sirmaur Chess Association. The school management also expressed heartfelt gratitude towards Mr. Ashish Thakur and Mr. N. P. S. Narang for their unstinted support and valuable contribution in developing chess in Himachal Pradesh, particularly in Paonta Sahib. Special appreciation was also extended to Dr. Vishwa Jeet Bansal for his continuous efforts in spreading awareness and planting the seeds of chess culture among young students in Paonta Sahib.
